Woolzies are 100% pure New Zealand Wool dryer balls that replaces potentially harmful fabric softeners in your dryer. The dryer balls are slightly larger than a tennis ball. The wool dryer balls tumble in your dryer, naturally seperating your laundry items. Allowing the hot air to circulate better around your laundry will shorten drying time. Woolzies can help you shorten your drying time by up to 25%! The dryer balls also help with static electricity. I found that there was still a bit of static the first few times I used the dryer balls. Then I noticed a suggestion on the carton that said to add a balled up piece of aluminum foil (about the same size as a Woolzie) to further reduce static. It worked!
The dryer balls are handmade by women in the democratic republic of Nepal and that helps provide a steady source of income to the women of that developing nation. That is the reason that your dryer balls will be slightly different sizes, color and texture. You can feel great using this product!
In the past we have used tennis balls to fluff up our duvets. BUT I never thought of all the chemicals, such as PVCs, released into my precious duvet. Ick. Leave tennis balls for the courts!
Skeptical. That was me when I was asked to review these dryer balls. Overall I am happy with the dryer balls performance. It performed as claimed. My only complaint is that I am missing one. My main suspect is my Labrador Retriever Bella. I have no idea how she got one... and where she put it! The five remaining balls are doing a great job on their own. Now to find that missing ball...
